FORECASTERS are warning people to expect snowfall and icy roads in Derbyshire today.
A yellow "be aware" alert has been issued for the county, which will be in force until noon today.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Heavy showers are expected across the country, confined more to hills over Northern England.
"Occasional accumulations of two to four centimetres are likely, with more than eight centimetres on high ground. Ice will be an additional hazard.
"The public should be aware of the risk of some difficult driving conditions."
