A HEROIC driver drove his van whilst it was engulfed in flames on the A52 to avoid an explosion affecting other vehicles or road-users.
The incident happened in Borrowash today and police, fire and recovery vehicles quickly arrived. It was reported he drove it away from a petrol station to avoid an explosion on that site.
